had hoped for . . .
We need some old school Judges in Pike and Lamar County to put their a**'s on a chain gang instead of the bleeding heart librals we got!
They do a good job everyday.......
Look at the comments on the article about the white men arrested for meth, there is as much 'bad' talk about them as there is here about this man.
He was a very sweet child, but would loose control of his behavoior too often.
I remember Ms. Messer really working with Anthony and many of us loved this child and prayed for him.
Over the years, I wondered what happened to Anthony. I am not in the area anymore.
It is heartbreaking to see that a child with special needs grows up into a violent and disturbed young man. Is it too late to redeem him? Where did we go wrong as educators?
The answer: we sent him home at 3:00 every day.
I fear his life's path is set.
Goodbye, young Mr. Burden.
This is what happens when children are "left behind". People do not want their tax dollars to be used to help society by providing the children who are products of ineffective parenting the additional tools they need to become more productive citizens. Then they grow up and become burdens to society and the same people wonder why. Its the parents fault they say. Well the parents themselves are part of the cycle of poverty and ignorance. We all pay if we do not help those less fortunate.
Didn't the former teacher type that they tried but unfortunately had to send him home every day at 3:oo p.m?
What would you have us do? I don't necessarily think that removing him from his home and putting him in foster care would have been the answer either.
