How grateful we are to have a man with the willness to work free all of that time, He has a lovely family and is a good man..Way to go Danny
And then, what did they do next? Almost the next meeting--they spent another $18,000 a year for the fire chief. Tax and spend government. The only hero the poor man in Pike County has now is Tommy Powers.
And hold on to your wallets, because the gas line is next and I think the price tag has grown to over 2 million dollars. Roosevelt and Parrish need to get the message that if they do anything to support the gas line, they do not need to waste their money qualifying to run for office next year.
Gas lines for the IDA and Judicial Centers do not need to be put back on the table until the economy makes a turn. Period.
...Or did he?
Sure seems to be some low morale over the past several months within the ranks of the (formerly volunteer?) Pike County fire services. It's getting to be pretty obvious why.
They deserve it more than Henderson.
Henderson, I advise you to keep your mouth shut unless you know whom is posting about you. I have heard my name thrown out there many times concerning post about you here and on that pollcat. You and JC try to link names to post and talk about folks, trust me it gets out.
I haven't busted your balls yet! but, if my name surfaces once more concerning negative postings about you ,nothing is going to be held back.
Go Sandra Danielson! We are behind you!
My question is why does Meansville have a seperate Fire Department and why is their ISO rating better than Pike County's? Should we be paying THEIR Fire Cheif to help prepare the rest of the county better? Don't ALL our firefighters deserve the best we can offer them?
Does Danny deserve the money, I think so but I would love to see the other volunteers get paid more also but if you want to keep Pike in its peaceful county atmosphere which we love so much about it then we dont want too much development here and I know you all dont want your taxes raised to be able to pay the volunteers do you? No because everytime they talk about a tax increase these same people start complaining about that.
Danny does a incredible amount of work on his own and I know for a fact he puts in way over a 40 hr work week serving you the citizens of Pike County. And good for Meansville they did a great job, I wished the county and them could have worked together but they didnt and it happened. Look for Pike County Fire Department to grow more in the future and one day they will all be getting paid something to take care of you.
Danny God Bless you and your family during the Holiday Season.
