Pike deputies - including a SWAT team, volunteer firefighters, agents of the Narcotics Task Force (NTF) and a hazardous materials team were on the scene of a working meth lab at 819 Reid Road Monday night. Three men arrested at the scene were identified Tuesday morning and one of the three had 29 prior arrests

Male strip club !!!!...... Oh, it was a meth bust washdown... darn... that one guy had some tight underwear. he should be glad the hazmat team stripped him down and got those bad boys off before he lost a leg...or worse...

I understand that junk is caustic and highly explosive. Not being a meth connoisseur I am wondering why their skin had to be decontaminated.

According to the PC Sheriff's Office, meth labs contain hazardous materials and federal guidelines mandate that individuals must be cleansed at the scene for health precautions.

To "cody is like your brother"... Unfortunately this stuff ruins so many lives before they even know it. It's terrible! People you would never suspect. One of the #1 signs of a meth user is sores or their face or skin. It's obvious. Hopefully he can get some help... he will need it.

Since you are none too bright, consider getting out of the drug trade and try working an honest job - after you get out of jail of course.

Being at the wrong place at the wrong time could have cost him his life. Meth is very expolisve and dangerous and is one of the hardest drugs to get off of. If he was there, he was involved in some way, or was in the beginning phases of being involved. People who are not into illegal substances, don't just hang around meth labs. Trust me, I know.

There is also hope. If the young fellow was just starting this kind of life, maybe this will be his chance to wake up and see what life really has to offer. My heart does go out to all of them becuase addictions are a terrible disease.

Everyone is quick to say,"wrong place wrong time". When is someone going to see he was there on his own free will. Maybe I'm wrong, but I saw no bruises on him and no broken bones. He was there because he wanted to be. If there was odor outside the house, he had to know what was going on before he entered the house. If he wasn't that smart, then he should have left once he went inside and saw what was going on. I have no pity for him and I have known him for about 5 years. I have warned him myself this would happen if he didnt change his ways. Low and behold, it has. I guess older people are sometimes right!!!!! So eonough of the wrong place thing. Take whats coming to you and be a man.

Are you just that naive? A tip leads to an investagtion. The research,the stake outs,following of the suspects leads to arrests. When is the last time you heard of a drug dealer inviting an innocent bystander into their home while they are cooking up their drugs? Cody innocent.....please. He looks innocent with those Meth head sores all over his face.

Yes there is hope! maybe these guys being busted now will keep them from ruining everyones life that is around them.I have said for years Cody has been doing Meth, and I have been VERY open about the scumbag he was. Now, it has finally caught up with me and he has to pay for his choices.Maybe now hecan get the addiction help he needs.So all of you that say he wa set up, 100% innocent, get REAL. Drug dealers do not just let any ole person into their home, while cookng drugs. He was there cooking, bagging, and happy to think of all the money he was about to make ruining someone elses life byselling this poison to them!

This is not the best article, but it's a nice overview to give you an idea of how complex and dangerous it is for people to attempt to make methamphetamine. Having gone through general chemistry and organic chemistry myself, I realize that it is a really complex reaction, and the impurities generated can be very, very dangerous (in addition to the use of a stimulant).Also, it is a very dangerous process, and it alarms me that this was going on in a town I am familar with. The lives of people who weren't involved were put at risk, too, which some people fail to think about. I just wanted to offer support for the efforts to raise awareness concerning the danger of such labs. I just hope there is a lesson to be learned in this. As I tell myself daily, "you only get one life. Choose wisely."

Its a shame it didn't blow up and kill all the criminals in the house. These are the guys that are ruining this world. Just think of how many little child are abuse each and every day cause the jerks make and sell these drugs to their stupid parents. I HATE DRUG ADDICTS AND DRUG DEALERS. THESE PEOPLE ARE BOTH.

Think about how many more of these places are out there---SCARY! I wish you could tell by the outside of someone's home. You can't though. It has become an epidemic--a pandemic, especially in small towns like ours. It is so sad. It is also sad that kids like these don't realize what they are doing to themselves and others that get a hold of their product. I hope the county of Pike teaches them a good lesson and shows the others doing this awful thing what they could get also!

I live on Reid Rd. and had no idea this was going on until this morning. This house was a dump until a few months ago. The people living there started fixing it up (possibly with drug money). Is there a chance that the county will seiz this property?

You have no idea about meth labs and how they smell. It's a nice mix of diaper pail, litter box, and acetone. At some point your beloved Cody had to at least say, "Hey guys, what's that smell?" I bet his eyes were watering. I doubt he thought the acetone aroma was from a kitchen remodel.

Cody was not in the wrong place at the wrong time. Believe me.

Man i aint even from there but i have two children who are.The wrong place at the wrong time would have been my two children one 7 one 5 trying to sell cub scout cookies at there door and it blow up.If that were the case they wouldnt have to worry about jail.They get buried....Yall give white folk a bad name.Your weakening our race because your too weak to deal with stuff.What are they gonna do in jail now when they cant deal with that.I feel for his family and everyone else around him that continues to be hurt by his weakness...Man up, poke your chest out,and get your crap straight.If i catch them sellin it ti my kids its all over for them

My parents always told me that you are judged by the company you keep and also warned me about being somewhere where drugs were. They always said that if you are at a place where drugs are and there is a drug bust you will go down with everyone else even if you are innocent so be aware of your surroundings and those that you hang around with. Maybe that should be preached a little more to today's younger generation. I tell my kids if you lay down with dogs you're gonna get fleas.

no, in the church vandalisms there were two jacobs and a denver. i am a life time member of one of the vandalized churches. i believe everybody involved in this meth bust and the vandalisms made extremely stupid mistakes, but its up to us as fellow citizens to help these individuals by forgiving them and helping them so they never go back to doing what they did.

this is pike county - nobody gives a damn about correct punctuation, political correstness, or any of that crap. the issue here is the fact that we have drug manufacturers in our own county selling this trash that ruins so many peoples lives and they got caught and now they're facing consequences. there is no wrong place wrong time, they knew what they were doing. or at least they did before they got stoned out of their minds!

Go to the detox and treatment centers and see the 18 year olds that have lost their souls to this junk..
It is not ok for anyone to hang with the makers of this junk..if you are there, then you approve.

There is no mistake in what is going on even before you enter the house that cooks this junk.
So to all of you young and old Remember this...If you dont try it ..If you dont hang with those that use it ..You will NEVER have to "get off the junk"

Cody is my cousin and i have had many of friends be tempted in use of meth and drugs. Its a bad and terrible lifestyle. It turns you into a horrible person. Some of you are right i dont know if he was or wasnt doing it BUT the fact remains sometimes GOOD people make bad choices and that dosent mean that they should be blown up or die. Any of you who feels virturous enough to cast the first stone then do so because i KNOW you are not without sins yourself. How dare any of you judge anyone when it is not for you to judge, Just remember WE ALL MAKE BAD AND STUPID CHOICES AND IT DOSENT MAKE US BAD PEOPLE. YOu should pray for all of them instead of condeming them
