Judge Miller dies at 73
Longtime Griffin Judicial Circuit Judge Ben Joseph Miller Sr., 73, of Thomaston, succumbed Friday morning at Upson Regional Medical Center. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Thomaston First Presbyterian Church.
As the trial was going on, Judge Miller seemed to be paying little attention. I even wondered if he was dozing a time or two.
However, he was completely on top of the entire proceeding, which became very clear when something was out of order.
He impressed me that day.
