Unemployment still rising

While the numbers are in double digits, joblessness in Pike seems to be stabilizing. Pike's unemployment was 11.9% in October, up from 11.6% in September.

Pike Executive County Manager Director Steve Marro today fired Tiger Woods, ordered him off county property, confiscated Tiger's computer, cell phone, office and SUV keys. He directed payroll and travel to no longer pay Cedar Golf Club membership dues. Two sheriffs deputies escorted Tiger off the parking lot while asking for a autograph. The county attorney is looking into the firing to be sure Mr. Marro has jurisdiction of Orange County Florida. The new County Clerk could not be reached for comment. Tiger responded with, "I'm going to apply for my unemployment then going to DisneyLand.

Tigers mother in law was admitted to the hospital because Erin found her in Tigers phone also.

Executive Director County Manager Steve Marro tonight announced he will bring Tiger back into employment. Marro fears personal lawsuits from someone with a higher profile than a Carpetbagger Snowbird. If Tiger accepts this new position after he returns from DisneyLand he will be the new Assistant Fire Chief @ $1,250.00 per month + SUV + Insurance benefits.

There are times when it is OK to increase unemployment numbers which would benefit our Pike County.
