Pike County Sheriffs deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a vehicle on Highway 19 around 5 p.m. Nov. 17. According to a press release, the victims noticed a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina driving recklessly along Highway 109 and turning southbound on Highway 19. The victims say the driver of the vehicle drove up next to their vehicle and fired a handgun at them.

Too bad that wasn't me, I carry semi auto's all the time. The poor drunk would not be in the jail at the expense of us taxpayers.

What your not hearing is that the camaro was in the fast lane and didn't move over which is also illegal !!! He(lumina) was going faster than them and by law you should move your idiot a$$es over. Maybe this will be a warning to all you idiots that drive 50mph in the fast lane and won't move over. Signs posted read clearly slower traffic keep right !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes traffic would flow a lot better if the retards would pass and then move over to the right afterwards, no sense in riding the fast lane from thomaston to griffin then turn right ???

On the slower traffic deal, I got a warning for passing a cop he was going 52 riding in the fast lane, I had the cruise on 55 riding in the slow lane (right) and he gave me a warning for passing him on the right ??? What part of slower traffic keep right don't people understand so I to feel you frustrations but don't go shooting at people come on now. But for real move over to the proper lane

I can't believe you people are turning this into " the VICTIMS" of a felony crime were in the fast lane driving 50 mph. That really doesn't matter. This man was intoxicated and driving a car with concealed weapons. The people complaining about a traffic violation are ignorant.

I actually get off on people going slow or just continuall driving in the wrong (left)lane when a faster driver is coming up from behind. It gives me a reason to pass on the right and immediatly cut in front of them and then brake check them , I do it everyday, Yeah I really do it every day to and from work and will continue to. I'm sure they are a few of you I've done it to on here so bite me !!!

Of course they are already not looking or they would read all the signs saying slower traffic keep right, Yeah maybe when I wreck them they will end up with one of the road signs reading slower traffic keep right in the car with them. Well its time for work and ready to rumble with some more people in the fast lane going slower than me !!!!

He was bound to hurt someone one day. I am thankful no one was hurt this time. I have known him for 15+ years and I have never seen him sober. I hope this serves as a wake up call. Just please remember that he has a family that is innocent.Keep them in your prayers.

Everyone knows pearls come from oysters. She owns the biggest oyster farm on the southeast coast. I am surprised you have not heard of her. Her farm was on Sixty Minutes....but since you are sorta slow....it would probably taken you 2 hours to watch it.

Under the influence doesn't mean"drunk". The "victims" noticed a car driving erratically then he shot at them??? Maybe so! Maybe the Victims were acting like A-holes, maybe the victims pointed a gun at him?...wow he has a DUI on his record! So does my preacher! Innocent until proven guilty.

Georgia law does state "Slower traffic keep right" but it also states "Keep right except to pass" on multi lane roadways, such as 19.

Common sense should tell you to keep as far away from opposing traffic as possible, but that makes too much sense, hence the law for dum dums.

I carry concealed most of the time. I sure don't want to leave a gun out in the open in my vehicle for someone to steal or for a kid to get. I don't want you scary people seeing me carrying one, and have you freak out.

A Pike deputy came up behind a citizen who was doing the speed limit. When the citizen didn't move into the right line the deputy whipped out his trusty lights and siren and pulled the citizen over and wrote a ticket.

The citizen chose to go to court. When the grand jury got the case they looked into the law. There isn't one.

Let us assume for a minute that the speed limit is 55 in the area.(Which probably is correct.) Then theoretically 56 is speeding. So if I am driving 55 in the left lane, is there a problem with that? If you want to pass...you are speeding.

By the way, Einstein, speed limits are not theoretical. They are real. If you do not believe it, the next time you are caught speeding, and I hope you are safe but I hope it happens. Ask the Law Official to give you a theoretical ticket.

Actually just got pulled over about 4 weeks ago and Yes I was passing on the right, 70 in a 55 and only got warning thank you very much..... Why ticket me for that and let all them disregard the signs that say keep right is what I told him !!! So with all that said I'll keep speeding like an idiot and you stay in the left lane like an idiot doll (less)
