The capital case of Jamie Weis in Pike County may decide if Georgia can afford to pursue the death penalty. A battle over funding in the Weis case was argued Tuesday, Nov. 10, before the Georgia Supreme Court in Atlanta.
Not me. I cant seem to justify taking a persons life and his chance to repent regardless of how horrible I have 'judged' him to be. I will leave that up to God.
However, he needs to be removed from society. Unfortunately at tax payer expense.
Maybe, maybe not. You cannot say for sure. But I think the Amish families who lost their daughters in the school shooting a while back handled the situation very well. There were no 'pitch forks or angry mob mentality'.
There was a higher purpose to their loss and they chose to leave it in Gods hands.
Sometimes, things go beyond our limited understanding. I strive for that..I may not always make it but that is my goal. Trust in the Lord.
It's sad that the economy is so bad that a well-constructed case cannot be tried. Something like this is a kick in the teeth to our men and women who wear their badges over their hearts.
You have a man accused of murdering a woman who might never have to answer for his crimes because of funding. I hate to say this, but we never had these problems under a Democratic Party government. Begin who they were, they'd still find money for justice.
Is there somewhere we can send donations to fund the trial? I'd pay the total for the needle, etc. at the end, too.
I do trust in the Lord and I leave things up to God.....but let me tell ya.....we are all human and have our own thoughts and feelings......some post to the world and others keep it a secret...I just choose to post my feelings, not my actions!! Thats why it is called a blog....PPL take things to far, well of coarse; but that is the devil working in those weak minded ppl. Let something happen to a Mothers child and you will see the work of a devil!! All Mothers that care for their young would say the same!!
Dont take it so personal.
I am a mother. I love my child just like any other protective mother. But I feel that "It is what comes from inside that defiles you". I still think that the Amish people handled their unfortunate situation in a way that would make Jesus proud, by turning the other cheek and accepting that there is a higher power at work. We dont know the reason or long term purpose for these 'tragedies'. I would be saddened beyond belief if I had to deal with something such as this and I understand peoples anger. But I hope that my trust will get me through it...and I hope that I would be blessed with the strength not to retaliate. I dont agree with the death penalty. A person should have the chance to repent. But to each his own.
Don't worry.......I take nothing personal on here.....LOL!!
I have the belief that if my child should do wrong he should serve the crime. Now on the other hand...Don't mess w/ my kids!! I'm a proctive Mother hen...I also believe in being what some call a hard a$$ on my boys.....I want them to grow~up and be a man one day!! Dang, all these boys that come up in todays society. I have bigger balls than they do....
I don't know that much about the Amish. I will say this...I was born a Christian and that is where my heart will stay...I have nothing against other relegions nor anyone. I'm not judgemental as it may look on here. Alot of the things ppl do on blogs is more to get a reaction out of ppl more then anything....
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "under a Democratic Party government".
The reason there are no funds for anything currently is that the US government "under the Democratic Party" has spent us so far in debt we don't have any money.
I know, "It was George Bushes fault". But if you take a look at the spending and unemployment figures, the huge deficit and increased unemployment began when the Democrats were voted a super-majority in 2006.
