Pelosi to unveil health bill with government option this morning

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is expected to unveil a house bill this morning that will require nearly all Americans sign up by 2013 for health insurance through their employer, a government program or a new kind of purchasing pool called an exchange.

Pelosi, D-Calif., wants to have the legislation on the floor next week, with a final vote before Veterans Day, Nov. 11, that would give President Obama a bill to sign by year's end.

It's very hard to make an opinion on this one way or the other, because everyone in Washington are so sneaky and lying. They won't put it all out on the table in black and white for all Americans to see.
It is very scary to me.

If the congress will will require all federal employees including the congress, president and judiciary to be on it with NO OTHER INSURANCE allowed. Then I will be all for it.

I am completely against this. This would be just one more step away from personal responsibility and toward government dependency. Freedom is based on our responsibility to take care of ourselves, as we move toward government dependency we slowly loose our freedoms. We originally started loosing control when we shifted the repsonsibility away from ourselves and onto our employers, at that point insurance companies quit worrying about making you happy, they strive to make your employer happy cause the employer is the customer... not you. It will only get worse as government gets more involved. If you disagree with this, tell me one government program that runs smoothly? Bureacracy and incompetence is what you will end up with.

Never in the histroy of Pike County has local government run so smoothly. Our Steve Marro takes control and leads the BOC like it should run. Steve Marro, Don Collins and watchcat John Morris have our county government operating at it's best. Now that is teamwork.
Vote yes on splost.

Don't know if it would work in Pelosi's case. If she has medical problems with silicone implants she would not be covered. That would be elective cosmetic surgery and pre exsisting.
Same would apply to Barney Franks and Steve Marro.

Better check it out. I for one do not believe UHC paid for Marro's. Self esteem is not covered for false teeth and breast implants. Marro makes enough to afford to pay for his own and it is obvious he got them somewhere. What's next, a belly ring?

Special called meeting Saturday 7:00 PM for SPLOST supporters. The meeting will be held Comfort Inn of Jonesboro rm 124. PCAT (Pike County Activist Team) will provide refreshments and free shuttle service from the courthouse square. Lovejoy Mayor Dawn Murphy will be guest speaker. Join our county manager Steve Marro in this last ditch effort to pass the SPLOST.

Think of yourself and family. Can you afford more taxes? Don't let the BOC threaten you with property taxes later on, they are coming anyway. Vote no on SPLOST, Vote no on your county commissioners. Vote no more pennies out of my family budget. Send the tax and spend BOC a hard message. Not with my penny!

Saw it and read it with my own eyes. JC has changed his stance on the SPLOST. Posted on his site he says, I am beginning to hope the SPLOST fails. Someone got to him and showed him the figures of waste the BOC has dumped on the poor yous peoples of Pike. You go's JC, you be da man. Now who knows more about the county budget than anyone? CB?

my taxes and fees are off the charts because some dodo bird estate land owner does not pay taxes because of cuva? That sucks. We no longer have Kings and Queens over us poor peasants. so CUVA RULES? another good reason to vote no on splost. i pay more than my share while the huge landowners dont pay. why do i have to take up their slack?

You know that really stinks. Someone owns 372 acres and saves $3000 on one parcel and I have trouble paying the full tax bill December 20th on 3 acres. Thanks Pencil Pusher for bringing this to the attention of all. That is ALL the other taxpayers paying more than our fair share for someone that thinks they rule the whole damn county.

Why would anyone in Pike County be trying to support same sex marriage in Maine? Why is the PCAT staff supporting it? I thought Marro was from New Hampshire.

Where are we going with this? Our BOC, the new Fire Chief and Steve Marro have stepped over the line. We are not going to take this crap anymore.

Ford Motor Company comes thur without taking handouts of your CUVA dollars. They did it on their own. Henry knew what he was doing.
