Molena gets its $500K CDBG grant

Molena received $500,000 in federal grant funds for water improvements. The grant is among nearly $37 million in federal funding Georgia received.

Georgia was awarded millions in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Community Development Block Grant and Community HOME Investment programs.

Yep we get money from grants, the mayor puts it in her husband bank.. Then it will vanish. This town needs more than 500,000 to fix it. Grub street looks like a jungle when you ride through it.. There still spraying weed killer on everything. Maybe we will get a new police dept.
If we are lucky a new fire dept.. Lets see long it takes them to fix the water problem here. Thank-you Pike county reporter for reporting this to us, we would have never known about it from the mayor......

How about a grant to rid ourselves of the nasty dirt roads !! It is 2009 people why on earth do we still have dirt roads with the taxes we are paying !!!

The downtown restoration of Molena is such a wonderful sight!I wish to thank everyone involved in acquiring that grant!I live in town in Zebulon...love it & greatly appreciate all efforts on behalf of efforts to enhance our county.Thank you,Thank You!!!!!

Nothing wrong with dirt roads. Cars wash.

A lady in a white SUV shot me a bird because I was kicking up dust the other day. Ignorance.
