For 29 years Rosalee King has sat at her kitchen table and written what amounts to a love letter to Lifsey Springs, her beloved community, and submitted it to the Journal-Reporter. Today’s article is number 1,456 and at long last a book has been published with some of her best writings.

I wonder if Ms. Rosalee wrote anything about some of the local kids who used to sneak in to the Lifsey Springs pool in the middle of the night? Before they left for the night, they would plug the jukebox up, drop four quarters in, make their selections and run like banshees. I have heard that these kids would get to listen to a few songs from their hiding spot before a deputy or someone else showed up to turn the thing off. The names of the guilty parties escapes me.
I have read Rosalee’s writings since I was a child and have enjoyed her stories and humor. I have learned a lot about the history of my home community from her, my grandmother and Ms. Flossie King. I have passed along many of the stories to my family and friends. Her writings offer a glimpse into a small communities history. A community that I am proud to be from.

Rosalee, we think it's great that you have written this book. We wish you the best with it. When will it be out and where can we purchase a copy?
