Representatives from Washington, D.C., Georgia, Zebulon, Concord and Molena met Monday, Aug. 17, to discuss current issues facing the county and region. Topics at the Hometown Connection included the county fire district, a Flint River dam, local cable provider, stimulus funding, SPLOST sales tax and the role of the Three Rivers Commission (formerly McIntosh Trail RDC).
Bobby Blalock, the former Zebulon mayor, asked representatives if federal stimulus money will ever get to local cities.
