The PJR does'nt have enough hand to wash the egg off Duncans face. They're to busy washing their own after not confirming Duncans anouncement of NO SWINE FLU.. Go ahead and try.

JC it sounds like Vern and Billy Paul are back in the Handi-Wipe business. Think Marro is still shaving a little off the top?

Just curious as to why it was posted yesterday that Duncan said no swine flu in Pike and yesterday I get a phone call stating there is a confirmed case....
#8 Teacher on 08/20/09 at 01:32 PM
The person whom has the flu isn't one of the children sick last week. Has it ever crossed your little minds that more than one person may get sick?
#9 Pike Resident on 08/20/09 at 03:18 PM
Egg in whose face? So there is a sick kid this week that wasn't one of the sick kids last week?!? I just can't figure out why some of you feel like Duncan is trying to lie to you. How in the world would it benefit him?

if you would get off you fat a$$ and get Duncan a crystal ball... then maybe he could perdict this stuff... He is a man... A man that does care for our children...
#14 Parent on 08/20/09 at 08:15 PM
What concerns me as a parent is that the public had a right to know of the exposure before the child has already returned to school. It's not possible that no one in the school system didn't know about this until today. It raises the question as to the validity of the rumore of other possible cases.
#15 Anonymous on 08/20/09 at 09:43 PM
Lots of sick kids in the schools, ask your childs school nurse. No just what is the plan for all these that are missing school? Their grades? Are the teachers gonna pile it on them or give them a zero, should the parent go get the kids work? Do our Teachers that really care have enough time to deal with all this make up work since they have had 3 furlo days? Is Duncan helping them out or has he even thought about his so called "since I have been here our children are smarter." What's the plan Duncan? Do you have one?
#16 doesn't really matter, now does it? on 08/21/09 at 09:51 AM
Maybe Duncan needs to bring more of his POSSIE from Clayton county schools here to continue making our schools are great as theirs.
#17 doesn't really matter, now does it? on 08/21/09 at 09:53 AM
Oops! I meant to say "as great as their schools". Sorri, gobernment skools ain't done worked for me two wel either!
#18 Pike Resident on 08/21/09 at 11:17 AM
I thought there were two kids. A brother and a sister. Only one of the two has swine flu?
#19 parent on 08/21/09 at 11:51 AM
Duncan and the rest of the Pike County School system is messed up when it comes to the safety and care of our kids. They always say "Where Children Come First" if that were so, they would not find a need to hide the truth about the swine flu case. That's kind of ignorant. Any body could catch it. Whenever they discover a case of it they need to close for a good cleaning to try to contain it or something. Idiots!!!!!!!
#20 Anonymous on 08/21/09 at 01:23 PM
Duncan is full of it. He lied and tried to make the commissioners look bad. The parents has the right to know all things that are going on in the schools and it doesn't matter how we get the info. If he isn't sure, he should get all the info before going public and making himself look like a fool that represents our children. He is over paid and needs to be fired.
#21 Pike Resident on 08/21/09 at 02:26 PM
Again, let me ask how in the world it would benefit Duncan to lie to the public? You can't get away with a lie in Pike County. Too much of a small town. People talk. Somebody somewhere is going to know the sick kid. So please somebody. . . anybody. . .tell me why you think Duncan is out to ruin the Pike County school system? I just don't see it.
#22 Not from Pike on 08/21/09 at 02:33 PM
OMG! Here we go again about Clayton County. Don't you realize that Pike is growing rapidly and not everyone that currently lives in Pike has always been a Pike resident. Eventually Pike County will be infiltrated with outsiders. Duncan is too young to have been the one to screw up the Clayton County school system. Its been screwed up for a while. Further, not everybody from Clayton County is a screw up. Give it a rest! You just sound like a stupid redneck.
#23 Jarry on 08/22/09 at 05:35 AM
So is getting a passing grade more important that the childrens health and well being? I think not.
#24 Sheila Tolley on 08/24/09 at 01:33 PM
Check the hours of operation before driving to Giant Mart. They have been closed a lot of years.
#25 Parent on 08/25/09 at 02:10 PM
I don't know how it would benefit him to lie, but he did. I got the call about him sending letters home to "just remind" us of how to care for the flu and the flu season. You can not tell me that he had no idea it was the swine flu. It's not just Duncan, it's a whole lot of the other administration too. When they heard of the swine flu or a possibility of the swine flu they tried to keep it hush-hush. And the truth of the matter is that it was just dumb to keep that from the parents. Aint no way he did not know. He also said that when the story was released the kid did not have it and a week later the kid did but was back at school fully recovered. It takes a couple of days to get over it so......THE KID HAD IT AT SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!
#26 frustrated on 08/26/09 at 10:55 AM
Now here this.....it doesn't matter where you go, you and your child will be exposed to various illnesses. You have now had your warning!
