A situation last week in a neighboring county highlights, once again, the need for reasonable, sound animal control ordinances, those minimal requirements to come into compliance with those of the State Department of Agriculture here in Pike County.
It doesn't get any plainer that this. But I'll bet you a dollar to a donut that our commission still want move on this. For some reason the commissioners are bent on working against the people of Pike on this than for them. For some reason this issue has become a power struggle between the commission and the people. I can't help but feel that personal feeling's have gotten involved and for the commission to go forward they would feel like they have lost control of the people. How else can you explain the actions of our commissioners on this subject. All I can say is we need to use the power of the vote that is our right to remove this dysfunctional commission and put in people that are for the citizens of Pike and not Overlords of the people that know what's best for their children, Because that's how they are treating us now. Vote people, it is your only solution to this problem.
