I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied history all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis.

Yes, these exist but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

What a great editorial piece. Everyone should read this and take notice of what is actually happening in our once great country. It's time for people to wake up and step out from under the thick cloud of denial that hovers over them.

America has elected a half-breed from Kenya as president of this once great nation. Americans are still dying on foreign fields for our nation. Very sad their Commander-in-Chief is not even from this country.

I understand that when one political party is out of power there must be some evil reason for it. Don't worry all of you right wing nuts out there, the pendulum will swing back the other way in 8 to 12 years, you'll be in power again, just like before, and guess what, you still won't manage to bring back some golden era that never existed in the first place. You'll always find some way remain fearful and upset. And, for some strange reason, it will always be the Democrat's fault.

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year-old Texas rancher whose hand
was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to obama and his bid to be our President.

The old rancher said, “Well, ya know, obama is a “post turtle.”

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a “post turtle” was.

The old rancher said, “When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a “post turtle”.

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain. “You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there.”

Yeah, I heard that joke before. The first time I heard it, the subject was Ronald Reagan. I've pretty much heard it for every President who has followed. Perhaps it makes some folks feel better. I never thought it was very funny though.

It would not have been funny to me if it were about Ronald Reagan. But about obama it is hilarious. It just needs a little turtle-tele-prompter. I can't quit laughing at the visual that creates.

People are not trying to evoke fear out of hatred. People are fearful because they should be! This once great nation has elected a president (regardless of his race which by the way is 50/50) that feels the need to go country to country and apologize for alleged evil deeds of the United States. Are you serious?
