At a special called meeting Monday night, commissioners heard from citizens in support of county manager Mike Phillips and voted to require he proceed with obtaining financial training and become a Certified County Manager.

Great article. Most Pike county citizens know Mr. Adams since he has been in the PJR news along with Mrs Beckham. Who is the new comer John Morrison, was he on the school board at one time? Would have been better if the BOC had hired a certified county manager with a financial background rather than OJT.

I really liked Mike's Scarecrow program. We had a lot of pretty Scarecrows around our county. Huh, Marro never had a good scarecrow program.
