Pike County’s jobless rate hit double digits for the first time in April, but it still has the lowest unemployment in the McIntosh Trail region. April’s joblessness was 10%.
The work force numbered 7,990 people with 7,194 working and 796 looking for jobs. In March, the numbers were 7,945 total people, 7,211 working and 734 seeking jobs.

could this be the population is so smalland the amount of jobs .
