Cindy’s Florist employees collected more than 300 toys to donate to Toys for Tots. The gifts were turned over to the Marine Corps League 1196 Thursday, Nov. 29 with (l-r) Dean Aggers, Sandra Kirksey, Mary Bragg, Betty Hatchett, Cindy Hurd, Robbin Ray and Raak Patel and others pitching in to help pack three pickup trucks and a van with toys to be taken to the Toys for Tots warehouse. There are many Toys for Tots drop boxes located across the county.
Big gift for Toys for Tots
One Toys for Tots box was not nearly enough to hold all the toys collected by the employees at Cindy's Florist in Zebulon. Representatives from Marine Corps League 1196, picked up more than 300 toys Thursday, Nov. 29, including 11 bicycles of assorted sizes and various gifts for kids of all ages. The toys covered the back patio of Cindy's Florist.
