A 22-year-old Milner man was killed Saturday night in a one car crash on Buffington Road here.

The bridge side curb is inadequate. This bridge should have been improved years ago. It takes the death of a person to get something done. If the county goes out and raises the mini curb to a higher height on the bridge, does this make the county guilty of poor bridge maintenance ?

Mr. Greg...we have already have meetings set up to discuss this with Pike County. Our cousin getting killed is pushing us to get this fixed so another family does not have to go thru this as we just did. It is literally the length of an envelope. Ryan was an awesome kid and we don't want the sadness and broken hearts to happen to another family! And Ms. Tolley to your question....another lady was killed on this same bridge about a two years ago from what we were told this weekend. Please help us to fight and get this fixed!

Whether they fix it or not, it makes them guilty of being idiots for having such a ridiculous barrier. It cannot even be called a guardrail.

This is so typical of problem solving techniques in Pike and other counties. Two people killed to save a little cement. BUT, you can bet your sweet petutie that the deceased were not reading flashing signs that caused the accident. We will call a special meeting, if necessary, to bring these signs into code.

Another example, Kim. Delores Smith was mauled by a pack of mad dogs. She was literally crawling across Vega Road to escape these dogs that were chewing on her. The dogs killed Delores. Who needs to be killed before this issue is addressed?
