Man dies after leaving jail

An individual died after bonding out of the Pike County Sheriff's office and the incident is currently under investigation by the GBI, according to investigator David Neal.

man dies after bonding out,who ever reported this has got the facts wrong. man died while trying to bond out.Fact he died with jail issued clothes on,now you tell me had he been completely released, NO... the only way he was able to leave with those clothes on was in an ambulance. He died in the parking lot, and then was pronounced died at the hospital in griffin. FACT I was there during this time

What is wrong with you people !!!!! No matter what he did because he was scared or whatever the reason.... The Sheriffs department should have paid attention to what was going on knowing that something was wrong it is their duty to get medical help when needed. !! thats a fact !!

Reguardless His Rights Were Violated As A Human. And He Died From That! Would If It Was Your Child,Or Someone Very Dear To You. I Guess You Would Say He Bit Off More Than He Could Chew Also. I THINK NOT!!!

This reads like grounds for a law suit to me, Randy. If it were my son, a lawsuit would be in process. If nothing else....all the facts need to be exposed. Good luck. I hope you go for it.

So he allegedly swallowed drugs and this led to his death?
Did law enforcement know he'd ingested drugs?
I'm just trying to figure out how law enforcement is responsible for his death. Not enough in this story for me to figure out what happened.

So the Sheriff was supposed to use his crystal ball and be able to tell that this guy ate the evidence?

All agencies are operating on a tight budget but the jail food needs to be improved. Less high speed chase cars and upgrade the baloney and green bread.

The FACT here is when you are in their custody they are responsible for your health and welfare.Qoute from one of the highest ranking officers in the sheriffs dept. and i qoute,He said (you know yourself, you have been here so you know that when someone is arrested the first thing they do is start saying I am sick i need an ambulance).... That makes me know that he ask for help,and did he receive any, NO, not until his mother demanded that Jailors call 911.He Died Minutes later in the Jail parking lot of The Pike County Sheriffs Dept.

Why would HE have the evidence in the first place? The SO cannot have the evidence and let him eat it too. That plan has not worked for cake in years.

He knew something was wrong ! He sould have listened ! He was being told something was wrong they are supposed to check on the prisoners. Come on !! someone having seizures....

Cats, help me here. I did the GOGGLE thing, did the search thing. Cool Hand Luke came up but with no clear results. What is a "walkin boss?" We no longer have chain gangs.
