Floyd wins four medals at U.S. Transplant Games
After facing death as a 25-year-old when his kidneys got infected and shut down after having strep throat, Scott Floyd has survived – and thrived – for 24 years with the help of donor organs. Floyd, 49, of Zebulon, recently brought home four medals, including gold, from the Transplant Games of America which were held in Grand Rapids, Mich., this year.
