Qualifying for several council seats across the county is underway.
Qualifying for cities begins
Several local candidates will vie for offices in the Nov. 6 general election and qualifying will be held this week. Candidates are asked to qualify for mayor of Williamson, mayor of Meansville and several council member seats for Molena, Meansville and Williamson. No offices are up for re-election in Concord or Zebulon.
Those were AWESOME speeches from Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Clint Eastwood lightened the mood a little as he conversed with an empty chair. (The chair has an IQ which triples that of obama's.)
The dems retaliated with a photo of obama sitting in The oval office chair with the caption..."This seat is taken."
I say:
They should have used a seat from Air Force One. Maybe it would have been believable.
Why not, he has taken everything else.

It was the weekend before Christmas 2008 and Hosein Shapouri, a senior economist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, was ordered to work.
His bosses needed an analysis done quickly of a proposed wood-to-ethanol factory in mid-Georgia. The Bush administration was leaving office the following month, and USDA officials wanted the deal sealed by then, Shapouri surmised.
In a blistering critique obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Shapouri labeled the proposed Range Fuels plant “a high risk venture” that should raise “a red flag.” Three weeks later, top USDA officials approved the guarantee anyway.
Today, the Georgia plant’s failure is well-documented. The Soperton facility closed last year without producing a drop of usable ethanol. Taxpayers lost at least $75 million.
But an in-depth analysis by the AJC reveals that taxpayer money for Range Fuels was approved despite repeated warnings and strong opposition by some of the federal officials who vetted the project.
Other officials nonetheless favored giving Range access to as much as $162 million, including $6.2 million from the state of Georgia, according to documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act.

Certified, qualified, runs Molena City Hall, pleasant, hard worker and knows the citizens well. She is local, requires no special parking place, does not drive a city vehicle home, requires no city vehicle gas. She has managed our city with care and pride. I do not understand why the Mayor of Concord is our City Manager??
Molena should hire and keep local citizens.

Seriously, how can anyone with a brain EVEN consider voting for these clowns? If the Democratic Convention had been held first, God or Jerusalem would not have been considered. Too many US Marines, US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, United States Coast Guard and American Service personel make up the grounds of cemeteries across our great nation and in foreign soil.
To surrender your rights is a slap in the face of those who died for our rights and those serving today.

I can see no justification in county and city vehicles grocery shopping, visiting Wal-Marts, Zaxbys, Ruby Tuesdays, ElCids Mexican and Wendy's while apparently on duty and in casual uniforms. Money is tight for all and this is an abuse against all citizens.There is no reason for these government vehicles to be used for personal pleasure and business outside our county and cities.
If you do not like what you see ask questions, be not afraid. If you do not get answers there is the Georgia Open Records Request Law, use it ! Ask for mileage logs, gas logs and work schedules.
The good ole boy days were suppose to be over but they have sneaked back in. It is our dollar and we must stand up.
