The TSPLOST referendum failed miserably in all but three regions of Georgia as well it should have.

Addressing the state’s transportation needs based on multi-county regions in which most counties had nothing in common with the others was flawed - and, it says here - doomed from the start.

THANK YOU PJR for the new poll question. There should be no "workout plans" with due property tax. Those that appoint board members knowing they abuse tax dates should be forced to resign.

Toss all the bums out if the tax is not paid! Post their names in the PJR. They are not community leaders, simple bums using their big head authority.

Seven elected or appointed board members think it is OK to not be current with their property taxes? This puts a heavy burden on the Tax Commissioner and oath of office. For what reason would there be a "workout plan" and why would a board member lower themselves to even request one?

Illegal immigrants who are granted permission to stay in the country under an Obama administration policy announced in June will be eligible for driver's licenses in Georgia, the state's attorney general wrote in a letter to the governor.

"While I do not agree with the actions of the President in issuing the directive, it has been implemented by the Department of Homeland Security, USCIS, and state law recognizes the approval of deferred action status as a basis for issuing a temporary driver's license," Attorney General Sam Olens, a Republican, wrote in a letter obtained Thursday by The Associated Press.

Thank you Cat's for bringing me up to date. It is now 8 no votes. Question, If a commissioner is also on a board does that count as 1 or 2 votes? What is really scaring is the director of building and zoning supports board members serving on more than one board at a time. Sounds like control. If these 8 board members do not pay the IRS they are busted. In Pike County they get a free tuneup and a biscuit.

Cat's you are most helpful with your posts and I do appreciate your knowledge. Question; Are pecans taxed at the same rate as metal roofs? Are self appointed county leaders exempt from due dates on property taxes? When making an appointment of these board members does the BOC do background history checks?

Sheila, I reading where a Citizen is asking for a recall on one of our most outstanding honest commissioners. The Citizen is one of "those" board members. Can we mount a recall for phoney non-paying property tax board members or just take them out to the shed?

There is a fever in the cat house, probably too late to worry about vaccinations. Possibly caused by "ctitisiums" whatever that is. Sounds painful, brings tears and acute isolation. Always wash hands, practice good hygiene and change clothes daily. As a good citizen I have notified the health department.

Mr. Resident, good point but not practical on this site. I agree with you it is cheap entertainment and they pay the $20. Understand the word in the food stamp line is they are changing their name to Calvin and Hobbes. Should work, a imaginary cat and a momma's big boy.
