The 2012 football season will be underway in 48 hours. This Friday the Pike County Pirates will travel to Griffin to take on the Spalding Jaguars. The Pirates have been working hard in the weight room during the summer with 70 to 75 players attending each workout. Conditioning in the hot August days will pay off in the season as the Pirates will play some top notch teams this season.
Defensive players attempt to drag their opponent to the ground during the spring inter-squad game. Practices are underway and the Pirates’ first scrimmage game is Friday in Spalding County.
