Chairman Elect Briar Johnson you just pulled off a landslide. Well done and we see a brighter future for Pike County.

Sheila I have missed you and your postings. Welcome back, just returned myself from bike riding Mexico Beach. Back to the election results, appears our two lady commissioners will have two fine gentlemen to work with on the New BOC.

I just hope that somehow, someway Deputies will get pay increases. Their lives are in jeopardy with each call they answer in this new AMERICA!

Pike will have a fresh new energetic BOC in January. This is an opportune time to research individuals applying or re-applying for board positions. Study educational background and experience in the field of the appointment. No one should be considered who does not pay their property taxes. Two boards in serious need of intelligent members are the Appeals Board and Planning Board. Pike has good people with intelligence and background experience willing to serve. No more down dumbing.

I do not think the voters took it out on Mr Mangham for his daughters actions. We needed change in many areas in Pike. I didn't vote for any one who had been in any position before. I really wanted to see a change on the school board - 8 years for Byrd, that is just too long.

Rayeann, no one mentioned Teresa. That was a low blow and uncalled for. Byrd? So you voted for Parrish Swift, that tells us you do not do your homework on those running for office. You sound like a Obama supporter.

Exercise the mind, do not waste it.
Join the Republican Party.

Challenger Briar Johnson won every precinct en route to an easy win over incumbent commission chairman Doug Mangham. Many questioned whether the events surrounding the manslaughter conviction of Mangham's daughter, Teresa Bourasas, and his perceived role in it contributed to his resounding loss.

You are truly confusing me, George. She tries to get a $2,000 check through my and your checkbooks (taxes) to pay her personal legal fees (Shane Geeter) and you call her honest? C'mon now.....be real. Shane was too smart to take it though.

This morning @ sunrise I was picking up campaign signs @ the old cemetery in Zebulon.
Dead people don't vote, this is not Chicago. The signs will be returned to the owners, even the Vote the Incumbents Out and the SPLOST signs. I noticed one grave had a Dish HD hookup. The lawman checked me out but did not introduce himself.

I have pondered the cemetery visit. Why do the Sheriff's drive through @ sunrise? Why do people put campaign signs there? Who put RayBan sunglasses on the Jesus statue? Are the early visitors there to hold wakeup calls? Let them sleep, weed-eaters, lawn mowers and leaf blowers are enough disturbance.

A good Deputy Dog can sniff out Dish HD hook-ups. You best stay out of those graveyards. The Ghosts of Christians past may get you. God knows that Christians are passing quickly away.

John C. Morrison what a county leader you think you are! Your post, "The two STRANGERS that SOMEHOW got elected," is a slap in the face to the citizen voters of Pike County. You and your staff of 1 do not control Pike County, you never will.
You should pray, then apologize to the two new members of the BOC. You stooped low to do that one JC.

Do something you know JC, bake a biscuit!
