Superior court judges, the project contractor and Pike County commissioners discuss suggested courtroom changes at a meeting in June. Commissioners voted not to make the judges' suggested changes if it cost the county any money.
It has taken two votes once again to make a change in the construction plans for the courthouse. Initially, commissioners voted 3-2 at their July 16 meeting to deny a request for a $2,300 change order after recommendations from the courthouse project architect, Superior Court judges and the district attorney who suggested keeping the county’s law library out of the grand jury room.
