The 7/8 PC Allstars baseball team has made it to the World Series in Virginia. The team is holding several fundraisers to help to finance a trip from Friday July 27 to Aug. 1 which includes meals and hotel rooms.
Upcoming fundraising events include a yard sale Saturday at McLeRoy Real Estate on Highway 19 next to El Mariachi starting at 7 a.m., doughnut sales Saturday in Zebulon on the courthouse square and at Freshway, in Griffin at WalMart and McDonald's and in Thomaston at Bank of Upson in the WalMart shopping center. Each box is $5.

Just want to say congratulations to these boys and their coaches for an outstanding year and a great accomplishment. This is the 2nd year in a row for our 7/8 team to be runner up in the state of georgia and go to the world series. We also had the 9/10 team come in 3rd in the state and the 13 Jr boys come in 2nd. Not bad for a small community. Go PC.
