Offer extended to county manager
During a special called meeting Monday, July 16, commissioners voted unanimously to extend an offer for an initial six-month period to a new county manager.

I've lived in Pike all my life, and I live on a dirt road and I don't really want it paved. I do want the existing dirt roads to be maintained correctly. This includes making sure the expensive gravel isn't washing off when water runs across the roads because there are no ditches.
Take a drive down Hwy 18 West, and turn down Fosset Rd, across from Flat Shoals Rd. That's a prime example of what having no ditches does to a road.
