Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to local seniors from the Keep Pike Beautiful Committee and Pike County YES Team. The students must be a Pike County resident and 2012 graduating high school senior who has been accepted into an accredited technical school, college or university.
To apply for one of the two scholarships, students must submit an essay on "What it means to be green in Pike County," with a minimum of 500 words. Students must also have 40 hours of verified community service including volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, Girl or Boy Scouts or for schools or churches.
All submissions are due by April 13 at P.O. Box 386, Zebulon Ga 30295.
