Commissioners disagree on amendments

Pike County commission members disagreed on a proposed amendment to the code to offer a 75% discount on all non-residential impact fees at the Feb. 28 meeting. Members voted 2-3 to deny the proposal after a motion to approve the 75% reduction failed for lack of a second.

"Creation of a second appeal level by using existing boards." Does that mean Tommy Powers who voted himself on the water board can vote twice? If a member of the Planning Board who's only background is a painter and roofer will he be allowed to vote? Next we will have a third appeal so the people in Clayton County can vote on it.

Where is Steve Marro when we need him?
