At Chandler Field Museum in Williamson, a historic project is underway. Concrete was poured Feb. 1 as a new hanger at PeachState Airport is being constructed to replicate the first hangar built at Atlanta’s epicenter of aviation – Candler Field – which is now Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
