The Georgia State Patrol is reminding motorists to plan carefully before hitting the highways for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s holiday travel periods. Troopers are cautioning drivers to plan for a sober designated driver if alcohol consumption will be part of the celebrations.
I hope everyone has a safe and sane Christmas Holiday and if you party down, have a Happy New Year's Eve celebration with a designated driver. Be on the lookout (BOLO) for idiots who insist on driving while under the influence. I hope the Sheriff has extra patrols near Hwy 18 and Chapman Road. I have seen a drunk run that STOP sign. Be safe.
The same thing happened to me at that STOP sign at the end of Chapman Rd while I was driving on 18 going into town. Some deer hunter dude in camos driving a beat up red Chevy pickup with a white camper shell pulled right out in front of me without looking. Total airhead.
