Three suspects have been arrested in connection with burglary/vandalism incidents at three Pike County churches last weekend.

Okay...I am going to speak for all those Pro Teen Challenge folks...(I am NOT one of them)..."Oh geesh ya'll, they just kids that need help, and God is the ONLY one who can help them. Give them a break! Your kids probably do the same thing, they just ain't been caught yet. Let the little buggers live on the mountain and learn the way of God in order that they grow to be productive big buggers. I know they may escape and break into your home and all, but they ain't gonna hurt nobody! They just kids!" Now, I shall speak for the rest of the community..."Put these punks in jail for awhile and let them eat bologna sandwiches with all the rest of the lowlife punks there. That will have alot more effect on them and make them think twice about doing something like that again. Oh, and if they do it again, well...repeat the process over and over. Just think, these three idiots may be coming to your town soon! When they do, do you really think preaching to them about religion will do any good? I think not!

Sometimes things happen who are you to judge anyone? Are you a christian? Sometimes things happen an we learn from the mistake. Who knows what they could of been on at the time. All we can do is pary for all three of them. I will preay for you also!!!

I am Jacob Nicholson's mother and he had nothing to do with this. He was at home all night with his family the night in question. His car was vandalized with human feces & urine and we filed a report with the Pike County Sheriff's Dept on the morning of April 5, 2009 which no doubt led to the break in this case. The other two boys in this case have lied and said that my son was involved because our report most likely got them caught. I feel sure that the truth will prevail because the Lord knows my son's heart and he knows he wasn't involved in this.

I wish everyone would know that all the families involved are suffering. I am personally praying for all of them. For those of you that own a bible please see Matthew 18:21-18:22. This teaches us a great lesson in forgiveness. The worst thing that could come from this is spreading hate.

lets not be quick to judge and i think its rude people would say mean things bout all these ppl everyone has done bad stuff no one is perfect dont be quick to judge i know what they did was wrong but everyone has to learn from there mistakes so before you start trash talking people you need to look toward your own faith and see how close you are to GOD bc he says dont judge and thats what some of you are doing i will be praying for all you who sit here and are rude and who trash talk people. hopefully they will learn there lessons and come to see what they did was wrong. but dont judge people.

i know denver dickson and i know what he did was wrong that doesnt make him a bad person we all make mistakes no one is perfect we just gotta learn from them and move on and know not to make the same mistakes again. hes not a bad person so stop trash talking him and if ur a christian you wouldnt say rude stuff you would pray for him. and realize what he did was wrong but there is forgiveness and one day he will see that and go to GOD with all this and things will get better but till then just pray.

It blows my mind that these young men had no respect for a House of God. Do they fear anything????? Just seems to me that a church should be a sacred building. What they need is a good butt busting with a belt. Maybe let the citizens of Pike County line up to give them a few whacks. Would be interested to know what kind of upbringing they had. Something is terribly wrong with the younger generation today.

God passes the final judgement on us, that is true, but He also calls on us to "rebuke" (look it up in the dictionary) others when they sin. There's a difference between judging and rebuking. "Real" Christians, as you say, expect others to rebuke us as well when we stray. Taking Scripture out of context and twisting it to fit your idea of things is never wise...and YOU don't get to decide who IS or ISN'T a Christian, praise God.

Denver Dickson is not a bad person. If you have no clue who he is then you dont need to comment. Everyone makes mistakes and GOD forgives them for it. Ok I'm going to say this as nicely as possible. Obviously it's apparent that a certain accused's family members want to believe their child had nothing to do with the heinous acts of tossing feces in a church building, relieving himself within the church facilities, and vandelizing the holy properties... who could blame you? I'd deny as well bc of the poor reflections it would have on myself as a parent/sibling. But it's a rare occassion that an officer of law arrests a suspect without enough evidence to back that claim. I find it VERY hard to believe that one possibly two out of the three arrested had nothing to do with this degredation. Sounds like a bunch of denials and worse, enabling parents! These are kids for crying out loud! They are in their 20's (save one) & probably every one of them highschool dropouts living on their parent's dime thinking the world should be handed to them on a silver platter! Maybe you should investigate the sick sadistic mind it would take to think that destroying churches was a good idea! Why of ALL things they could've gotten into did they choose houses of GOD to piss on?! You may not want to hear this, family of the "innocent victim", but chances are this isn't the FIRST time your child has gotten in trouble, and you've probably done your hardest to cover his butt for him. He wont be tried as a kid now, mama. Oh no, he's a man in the eyes of the law and he will be tried as an adult and rightly so! Stop enabling your child and realize that HE HAS TO ANSWER FOR HIS ACTIONS, just like you have had to do I'm sure! But I'm sure you'll just keep on defending his butt like the parents of Casey Anthony as she denied she ever murdered her own child. You'll purger yourself and give him an alibi to keep his butt out of jail so I at least hope they find his fingerprints or DNA so you can't keep enabling him to become someone worse than a pilfering vandalizing God-hating theif! Thank God he was caught in his own trail of lies!

To the mom who thinks her son was innocent and they actually broke the case, then aren't you eligible to get the $1000 REWARD offered to help police catch the villians. Sometimes you just happen to drive up to a church, and happen to BREAK into it, and just so happen to vandelize the insides with fire extinguishers and urine and fecal matter... and just HAPPEN to take some items with you when you leave?!?! And then look for the next church (not home, not store, directly targeted CHURCHES) to torment...? Wow... I love how people are getting on here and saying people make mistakes. No people make choices... good choices, bad choices... and the ones that made the bad choices chalks it off to a mistake. A mistake is changing lanes and hitting the car that was in your blindspot. A mistake is NOT intentionally doing what they did. Get off the meth and put your spare change on getting these idiots a good attorney, they're gonna need it!

Well, I know what kind of influence Denver Dixon can have on someone. He just inherited a large amount of money and was on a partying binge. These guys probably were on something, pot for sure. As for Jacob Wilson, he is a level headed and very kind person who grew up in church and knows the Bible. He has been through a lot for a very long time now. When you mix "acting out" and drugs, the outcome is never good. Lets all just pray that these guys will learn their lessons and not ruin their future through all of this. PRAY NOW.

No one can sit here and say oh he made a mistake and he is a good kid, you know when you are doing something like this that it is wrong and there is no way around that. I'm sorry (not really) but this is no mistake and hopefully they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law so they will learn a lesson from this.

Post #17 and #18 are flat out crazy! I am Denver's cousin, and have no problem saying that. He did not get an inheritace. Please stop writing ignorant stuff. Let it go. All of the families are going through stuff and this does not make it any better. As a Christian our faith is based on forgiveness. I would urge all of you to turn to your Bible and read that instead of writing so many ugly things on this site. I am praying for the strength of the families involved to make it through this as well as for the church members that have been affected. God Bless.

Yes please pray for me... pray that I'm not put on that jury because I will push for the fullest penalty allowable by applicable law. :) And I'm NOT judging, I am stating the truth... this was no mistake, this was intentional. Intent was clear in their purpose. Stragegizing was needed to think out the process of putting feces in a bag to trash the churches. There is forgiveness yes, but there is also a penalty that WILL be paid for their actions. And let me correct you by saying THEY ARE ADULTS not KIDS! And their forgiveness with God lies within their ability to regret and feel remorse for what they've done, and as the Bible states, ASK for forgiveness. You don't know that they will be forgiven. That is between the Lord and them... but I can tell you a piece of His heart broke the day they degredated His Bride! And I have EVERY right to be hurt and a bit angry that they chose the houses of MY GOD to destroy and spit on! It's not judgement, dear, it's a child of God feeling the hairs on the backs of my neck stand because they did far worse than spitting in MY Father's face!

Let's define the word "bad" shall we? Bad; having undesirable or negative qualities, characterized by wickedness or immorality. From what I know of Denver, he has been on a downward spiral since his teens. Choosing drugs as his playground and bouncing from job to job without any obligations to put forth effort at any. He has introduced drugs to a number of kids that had they not gotten involved with Denver would've never had the nerve or ability to do so. And now this. Take it to trial, i think they all deserve about 3 or 4 years in prison to reconsider the proper way of how to act like an adult. its not about GOD this or GOD that. Is GOD just going to decend upon us and strike them down. I know Denver also, and taught him Sunday School when he was a small child. Does this exclude him from punishment "no". Denver has a wonderful mother who worked very hard to take care of all her children. Does this make her a bad mother "no". More than likely everyone of these boy's need treatment "Drug Treatment". Maybe if we work on getting some of the drugs off the street these young men could find something better to do with their time.I moved to Pike county so my kids would be safe and in a drug free enviornment, were they "no". Maybe they should shut down the highway drug trade that comes through Meriweather County. And get someone in to shut down the "Ranch" were dealers stand guard with guns to protect their compound. I begged for help with my son I even went to the sheriffs department and was told "that's in Meriweather County there is nothing we can do" by sheriff Thomas himself. In another decade our grandkids will be walking around like jombies, scars on there faces, teeth falling out young mothers with mentally retarded babies. You may frown down on these young men and say they know better, and their parents are responsible, they wern't raised right. Just remember it could be your child or grandchild. Get them some help, jail should not be used to house mentally ill people and addicts. The drug meth is killing our kids and grandkids... I know what is does I have witnessed it first hand, you watch your son that you had so many hopes and dreams for, who played highschool football, highschool baseball walked home coming court two years in a row. He went from that to standing in the kitchen with a knife looking under the table and chairs swearing something is after him.. So, think about it, was it my son? "No" it was the drug... I will pray for the families, and remember for all of you who cast stones, God turned his back on no one. We all sin and come short of the Glory of God, and if you say you haven't your a liar...

As a member of one of the churches vandalized, I saw first-hand the destruction and devistation left behind by these individuals. Clean-up and restoration costs for these three Houses of God will cost tens of thousands of dollars. Yes, the Bible does teach us to forgive those who sin against us as our Heavenly Father forgives us; but it also teaches that we will all reap what we sew and will be held accountable to Him for our sins. I have been and will continue to pray for these three indivials and their families, as well as the churches and their congregations.

I am referring to all the comments on here that pass blame and calls names as the "ugly comments". Not just yours. I referenced your comment as being incorrect about the inheritance. Weather he said it or not, it didn't happen. We do agree on one thing and that is the power of prayer. If this affected your family I am praying for you the same as I am praying for my aunt, uncle, cousins, as well as the other families involved and ask you to do the same.

I find it absolutely impossible out of all the cars in Pike Co, that it just so happened to be Jacob Nicholsons that got vandalized...HHMMM, sounds like MAYBE he busted a bag of the crap that the boys helped each other bag (sickos) in his car and got scared his parents MAY BE bright enough to figure out his involement when the news hit the paper - So he staged it to look like he was innocent. That makes a bit more sense...And let's NOT OVERLOOK THE FACT that all 3 of these boys were best friends - thick as thieves - ironic - thick as thieves!

Actually, the evidence isn't back yet! Still awaiting results from evidence gathered! Yes, innocent until proven guilty. Unfortunately, guilt by association builds it's on strong case! Especially when DD and JN have been trouble together many times before...their "dumbluck" just ran out and they finally got caught. Denver isn't the only one with a Sheet - DUI ring any bells? You know boys can't keep their mouths shut - especially when THEY THINK THEIR COOL! What FOOLS! Sincerely - Pray for their families - they are going to need it!

as a family member of denver's i would like to clear up the whole fecies thing and yes jacobs car had fecies put in it and so did the church but the thing about the boys is that no matter what happens to jacob nicholson he still returns time after time to hang out with denver and jacob wilson cause that is how jacob nicholson is. jacob nicholson is just as guilty so yeah innocent till proven guilty and since nicholson is the only one that got bonded out of jail the other day i guess he'll be the only one free until proven guilty as well.

I am a friend of Angela Nicholson, and have just heard from her about the horrific crimes committed in your county. She is a wonderful person and is a victim as well as the rest of her family. Please stop making judgement on the Nicholson family - after all, the only one that is innocent in this case is her son - and that will be proven!!!

First of all, I will not disclose who I am because my family would "disown" me for saying what I'm about to say. But I cannot allow someone from my family to speak for us all and let the public think that we are all simple-minded and would support any of our family members regardless of what they've done. From my persepective this "branch" of our family somehow became those that felt everything should be handed to them regardless of what they've done. They ALL (Barry, Angela, Jake and Amanda) are of the mindset that they deserve the world, and it revolves around them as such. And no matter WHAT they do to get what they want, or who they step on to get there (even their own FAMILY), they will NEVER acknowledge they were in the wrong, and will NEVER apologize for what they've done. I've been silently watching the wrong they have committed to our family members, and also watched as they have been supported from some in our family regardless. And I just don't get it. Some in that branch have committed embezzlement, nearly bankrupting a family-owned business of a branch in our family that we LOVE so dearly and would give the shirts off their backs to help us out when in need. And when they were caught, do you think they readily admitted their fault? No. They lied, schemed, played on the sympathies of their own mother, and successfully kept their butts out of jail. So why would I think that their own children, Jake in this instance, would be any different? Things DONT add up. One being that Jake has been friends with this Denver kid that I know of for YEARS. So why would he all of a sudden turn on him? Two being HOW IN THE WORLD would Jake know who to point fingers at when he "found" the damage to his car if he didn't know or wasn't involved in SOME WAY with what they did at these churches? It doesn't add up. But knowing certain people in my family, obviously, would support this branch of our family, regardless of the crime. There's never a stopping point, never a moment where a realization hits that maybe JUST MAYBE they aren't innocent. I can't speak for the others in my family, and I can't speak for the other guys involved in this disgusting act... but for myself, I do NOT support them. They have wreaked havok in my family for too long, and it's about time someone GETS CAUGHT and maybe sheds some light in this "perfect-can-do-no-wrong" persona they have developed with certain family members. I personally think he's guilty.

Sounds to me like the comment that started this and was conveniently titled "Proud family member and supporter of Jacob Nicholson" was left by an immediate family member (i.e. Mother, Father, sister) and not someone of further relation. i have many feelings about this situation, but i will only state the facts...actual facts...first of all christians are called christians for a reason...we are supposed to be "Christ-like." i do not know one person with whom any of these three are related or associated that have said that these acts are not reprehensible. that is obvious...but if you know a person and what is in their heart as i do the one who seems to be getting all the blame here, you would know that our friend LOVES GOD!!! Read his myspace page bulletin from February. He did not write that and spend many days and nights talking with me and others about prayer and his love for our Savior who forgives EVERYTHING! "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do!" Try to twist Jesus' own quote on the cross and see how that works out for you...no one but God himself and those three who were there will ever truly know what happened. I do know one thing for sure, though, the Bible says that all sin is sin...it's all equal. Judging a person, which is for God and God only to do, is just as much a sin as any other, including this one. I LOVE GOD MORE THAN ANYTHING! I do not condone any behavior that degrades Him. I am only stating the fact that a Christian cannot truly call himself a Christian if he or she does not in all cases try to be Christ-like.

Some crimes are so hideous that the law has not been firmly established on them. Take for example, the man named Marsh that operated Tri- State Crematorium. He is serving a twelve year sentence. The insurance company ended up paying eighteen million dollars to the families of the disrespected loved ones. Of which, the lawyers got six million. IF, IF these boys are guilty, I hope they get the toughest Judge in the circuit. I hope that an example is made that is talked about by the citizens of Pike County for years to come. I hope the penalty is so tough that it gets as much publicity as the Icecream Bandit in Thomaston. He made People magazine because he was so picked on. I hope these three make the COVER. I still cannot figure out why anyone can consciously talk about God and forgiving regarding this blatant disrespect to the house of God.

Wow, I am truly appauled by all of these comments. I just sat down and read all of the comments. Maybe if we would have stopped making excuses for these young men years ago, we wouldn't be dealing with this situation now. People, it's time for them to pay the price. They committed a horrible crime. I know Denver's family and they are good people. I am not going to sit here and blame them for what Denver did. His Mom tried her very best to raise him properly. His sisters are wonderful ladies that turned out good. I truly believe that Denver got mixed up with the wrong crowd a long time ago. As a parent, I know that there is only so much you can do. Once he got caught up in the bad crowd and started using drugs, it caught up with him. It takes over your life. Unfortunately, I think thats what happened here. Drugs have a hold on him. These men will have to pay for what they did, but please don't blame the families. They are grown men and are responsible for their own actions. It's too bad it came to this. In the long run, this may actually save his life. He will have to get off the drugs now. He will have to grow up while he's paying for the crime he committed. I only hope and pray that this will change their lives forever. They will have to grow up in there. Be there for his family. This is hard on them. It must be hell knowing that your child or brother did something like this. People will look down on them, but it's not their fault. They are good people. Don't judge the family by Denver's mistakes.

I was once close to Denver and have met both Jacob's on several occasions. This is obviously a sad and upsetting time for not only the families and others involved with the 3 men but also for the church families who suffered a financial loss. Yes, what they did was wrong - that's pretty clear, but does it make sense to kick them while they're down? I have seen someone come out of the addiction of meth and become the man God called him to be. That salvation is available to any and everyone. It's understandable for them to receive punishment for the crimes that have been committed, but TRUE judgement will come - for all of us. We have all fallen short of the Glory of God and it's important that we not forget that. I am praying for every person affected by this and I have no doubt that these men will come out of this better than they ever were.

Sometimes lessons are hard learned - they should have listened to the people who now seem to be so caring and full of forgiveness. Where were these people when these young men needed them the most? I have just read all of the comments and alot of harsh things are projected in these comments, with good reason. I personnally know two of the young men involved and must say that I saw this coming. I do have one thing to ask.... Why hasn't someone done something about the "Ranch"? I have heard about that place and the horrible things that happen there, the drugs that pass through there and I have wondered why it is allowed? I know if I hear about it (just a country bumpkin) then I know many others have. It sounds like drugs is being connected as a cause for the actions of these young men. Are political figures getting kick backs for allowing a place like the Ranch? Have the people of the surrounding counties to Meriweather County thought about uniting together and demand that such a place be removed? The local authorities may be afraid but this is America and there are higher authorities that could take such a place down.
I am getting away from the topic of the incident that started these comments, but if you kill the root, then maybe good kids out there will remain good. I hate what happened and was truly shocked to find out what these boys did, but a earth bound judge and jury will take care of things in Pike Co. and God will do the rest.
