Watch Rio under the stars Friday

Drive-in movies are a thing of the past, but stop by the Pike County parks and recreation lower field this Friday to once again enjoy watching a movie under the stars.
Rio will be shown on a giant inflatable screen by Southern Outdoor Cinema Friday, July 29 at no charge. Inflatables and kids activities will be part of the all-night event.

When will they replay "Diary of a Whimpy kid" that was rained out? did I miss it??

My family attended this event, Had a BLAST.... Wish we had this more oftern. tThe move that was rained out will be August 5 th. Again had a great time and will be at the next one.

We were at the event. Love doing things like this with my kids. But there were 2 annoying things....#1. the lady sitting next to us spent the 1st 45 minutes of the movie having a conversation on her cell phone. #2 the kid on the other side of us was slinging his little neon thing on a string until he let it go and it hit my infant on the leg leaving a bruise. have some common courtesy people and control your children in public places.

It is very obvious that someone copied my name & logo from another PJR posting. As stated before, I only comment on fire & public safety related topics and I commend the PJR staff for their diligence in removing a ignorant post that was out of character. I respectfully request the PJR remove the name too, not just the deleted comment.

So, before you pass judgment ladybug know your facts.
