Practice makes for perfect sauce
While practicing to make barbecue sauce for competition at the Barnesville Barbecue and Blues Festival to be held later this month, Mike Wheeless and Harold Callaway, also known as The Fat Boys, entered their sauce in competition at Smoke on the Water at Bickley's Lake in Thomaston last weekend – and they accidently won.
The Friday Night Community Cook Contest will include Wings, Chili, and Stew. Entry for each category is $15.00. This year's festival will feature a sauce contest. The grand prize for the sauce contest is an autographed Willie Nelson guitar. The entry fee is $20.00. For more information on the two competitions, click on the ad at right.
