Pike County parks and recreation will be busy this summer with the usual sporting teams and events but the recreation fields will also host monthly Movies In The Park.

They spent money on this garbage but decided against the fireworks? Movies like this cost plenty because of copyrights, royalties, setup, etc. Research it. Have these people gone mad?

What's next, a Pike Wine and Cheese Festival on the Green? Seems like the BOC should put a stop to this foolishness before it goes that far.

IF everyone would pay their property taxes when they are due then the BOC would not have to borrow more money. The BOC should revoke board members who do not pay their taxes. Those bums that pay a dollar a week are not community leaders! NO EXCUSE!

Bush blowed 437 million on his "Iraq Reconstruction Plan. 28 million was found to have been gone to fraud and waste during Katrina. Another 2.2 billion has been spent on fraudulant defense contracts. And the big whopper is the trillion dollars that Bush gave the Pentagon that still to this day is unaccounted for. And you love this man. Love him so much you voted for him. Go to the Pike County Tax Commissioners Office, ask to see the deadbeats file and see in black and white who pays by the week,month but not when they are due.

is mccain still alive? most people i know didnt think he would live long enough to finish his term. when he made speechs he appeared to be in the early stages of alzheimers. like obama my father made me a lot of promises also. as i have my son. even my son understands in a world that changes by the minute a promise can be hard to keep. and actually are better off being broke. the promises you say obama broke lead to the capture of bin laden. the promises my father broke were nessacary to be able to keep food on the table. promises are not made to be broken. but some of them need to be broken for the greater good. but obama is slick, i will give you that. thats why he made it to the highest level of government. i worked at a big orange warehouse hardware store. you know the one, boycotted by some because their fondness for male bonding. from 5 years of observation i can tell you it takes a real "man's man" to make it to the higher levels of employment. and i must admit i was jealous. but unable to go that route what could i do? obama promised this, house depoe promised equal oppurtunity employment, dope man promised something else, car saleman promised the car would last for years, church's every sunday promise something they conceived or interpretated out of a fiction book. you are a wise man FBT. what do you think is the main motivator of these people making these promises?

i gave credit to obama when the announcement came out and even went against people i agree with to say it wasn't time to play politics but to enjoy the removal of obl from the world.
