Courthouse plan could prevent move

Pike County commissioners approved a tentative courthouse floor plan by a 4-1 vote at the May 10 meeting. It includes a 30-foot addition at the northern end of the courthouse to add 5,600 square feet and allow the constitutional offices to remain in the building. The additional space may also eliminate the need for temporary offices during renovation.

Commissioner Bass is doing what she was elected to do. She is doing everything she promised the voters she would do, no waste of taxpayers money. I am proud to call this honest leader my commissioner.

not a waste? using my money to put an addition on a crappy old courthouse with limited parking. thats just stupid. maybe they are going to put a parking garage on the roof.

We could have had a new judicial complex, but voters would not support the last splost vote. So we are stuck with what we have.

We support splost. When it fails you can bet your dog we will get it on the ballot again and again and again until it is passed. Let all the tourist foot the bill. Avoid the pain and vote yes the first time.
