With a 22-4 record and a ranking of fifth in the state in the AA classification, the Pirates have high hopes of making it to the big dance in about a month. The Pirates will host the Brantley County Blue Herons this Friday in Zebulon at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. A game three would be played Saturday at 1 p.m. if needed.

Sadly the Girls Soccer team took one on the chin last night. But the Baseball Team dominated and now face their last years nemesis Cook County who knocked them out last year. Everyone needs to come out and support the Pirates Baseball Team next Weds 4 and 7 Doubleheader. GO PIRATES!

Pike wins in 1st round, defeated Brantley County 16-0 game 1 in 4 innings and then won game 2 17-5. They will host the Cook County Hornets in Zebulon on 5-11 for round 2 of the state playoffs. This is a rematch of last years round 3 which Cook won 2 games to 1 as they eventually went to the championship game. Come out and support the Pirates.

The entire baseball stories, including game scores and highlights, are included in the print edition of the newspaper.

The Pike County Baseball Team just dominated the Cook County team defeating them 12 to 2 and 9 to 6. Way to go Pirates. Next Tuesday May 17th the Pirates will be playing At Home the Best out of Three Game Winners Either Adairsville or Blessed Trinity
