Jeremiah, Anndora and Raven Evans pick up their dog Lucky Girl after she was spayed. The family took in the lab-mix when she showed up pregnant and suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Although still traumatized by the experience, she is loving and loyal to the family who saved her.
Additional animal clinics upcoming
Volunteer workers have responded so well to the low-cost spay/neuter clinics Dr. Christi Ware is adding a second date per month to help financially stressed pet owners. The popular clinics organized by Friends of Pike County Animals and hosted by Pike Depot Lumber will now take place one Wednesday and one Saturday a month.
