Both the Pirates and Lady Pirates will play in the playoffs this year, with the 9-15 Pirates (6-10 in region) clinching the fifth seed in the AA regional tournament. The Pirates beat Whitewater 52-45, lost to SW Macon 46-35 and beat Putnam County 41-30 last week. They are ranked fifth and played number four seed Morgan County Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 5:30 p.m. with the winner playing NE Macon Friday at 8:30 p.m.
