The Pike County Pirates football team held its 2010 banquet last Thursday to recognize the accomplishments of the players. The Pirates ended the season with a 5-5 record after starting off with five consecutive wins. Injur-ies plagued the Pirates in the last half of the season.

Congrats to all these young men. They practiced and played hard all season. This year will be remembered as "what might have been".

Up until a couple of years ago Pike never won three or four games in a row. We got a good coaching staff and few talented athletes and it's been a descent team for the last few years. It's going to hard to replace this senior class.
