Pike County commissioners granted a $2,192.66 tax assessment adjustment to the home of Teresa Burousas, who is in the Upson County jail facing a murder charge in the July 1, 2009 death of her husband Jimmie "Buzz" Burousas Jr. The fire was a suspected arson.

I certainly did not know this was possible. My sister's house burned a few years ago, I bet she could have gotten a tax adjustment.

Our Chairman of the BOC should never have been subjected to having to refile on return of the tax ajustment. Most of yous peoples dion't understand how our government works. All of yous should attend meetings like I do.

All I have to say about your ridiculous comment is:

I love Margaret Brown. She has been a wonderful Christian example to me for my entire life. That is a long time and I will NEVER forget her. The unselfish person that Margaret has always been in her life has encouraged me to make good and unselfish choices in my own life.

The fire department burnt that house. Our slow response and horrible tactics burnt the home and any possible evidence. Way to go chief.

If we paid the volunteer chief more than the the measly $18,000 walking around money he might apply himself more. We pay for what we get.

Kinfolk is right. It was the one who used to have a problem with fire in his youth. I guess he could'nt help himself.

My house just burnt last week, Am I entitled to any tax adjustment since I did live there almost all year ? If so what do I do ? Go to the tax asessors office ? Thanks for any info.

You must run for Chairman of the Pike County Board of Commissioners. If you win the office all you have to do is sit there and not let the citizens speak. Doug says he does not have to listen to citizens BS, a waste of his time. Why he won't even listen to JC.
