One of the odd facets of a strange political season has been conservatives’ insistence that the government shouldn’t lend assistance to struggling Americans who are out of work.

I have run into so many people who are collecting unemployment and working under the table at the same time. Same is true for people who are collecting SSDI. It is something how these people manage to keep going regardless. And the people I know that collect SSDI have issues with disability and still manage to find work. I also believe if you really want to find work you can. But I guess these folks I know are not picky. It is a fact that a lot of these people milking the unemployment office think they are too good to take jobs of less pay. They think they are better than others and will remain collecting a check until something that suits them comes along. Quit giving them that check and see how quick they find a job. Employers see this also. A person who could not even get a job at McDonalds in since 2009 doesnt seem like he is worth the investment of hiring. It cost companys money to hire people. Do you want to gamble that money on someone that is milking the system? Or would you rather invest your money into one with a solid work history? People who milk unemployment are the same people that will milk a workers comp. claim also. Another risk for human resources. So again, who would you hire, someone with a solid work history? Or you prefer the one that doesnt instead? The few Mexicans that got deported when the economy fell out had to come back. Americans chose the free check over them jobs when they became available. You would have to be sorry as heck when illegal immigrants are working and supporting a family here in the US and one in Mexico. And all you can do is hope O'Bama extends your free ride so you can take care of yourself.
I have a neighbor that's so disabled he just can't work. Doesn't stop him from taking his boat out in the summer and fishing dusk til dawn. Doesn't stop him from hunting every deer season and climbing up to his stand.
I know another guy that retired from full time, worked for a utility company part time, that was told he'd have to go to full time or leave. He left and got unemployment. They upped it twice, but he decided not to go for it a third time because they wanted proof he was hunting a job. He owns his house outright, no mortgage.
I know another guy that was on unemployment and working in a gargage at the same time, making better than he did at his old job.
These people need to be dragged out into the street and tarred and feathered.
CR, this guy is so dumb it's pitiful. I'm getting to the point of being tired of training him on everything. It's really a shame that he attended an institution of higher learning and is still this ignorant.
