Gov. Sonny Perdue will be in Barnesville October 2 for a prayer breakfast. No local issue deserves more prayerful consideration than the Donna Ogletree Johnson murder case.
Donna's sister Becky Peterman has written Perdue directly to no avail. Thus far she has also been ignored by Sen. Saxby Chambliss, Sen. Ronnie Chance and state representatives Jim Cole, Billy Maddox, David Knight and Tony Sellier.
Sen. Johnny Isakson took time out to send a form letter. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland is the only elected official at any level to have taken any action whatsoever or even respond to correspondence.

Authorities have looked into this old case. People think because it is old it has been overlooked. There are murder cases today that the killer is known to law enforcement but they can not convict or even bring charges with out sufficient evidence. These are the murder cases that can only be closed with the killers confession alone most times. And if they do not confess, guess what? They walk. Do you have any idea how many unsolved murder cases there are in the United States? Some are actually solved but they can not bring the killer to justice. Guess what? This is one of them. Why is that so hard to accept? If all the evidence was not handled properly and people did things to hinder the apprehension of the killer all them years ago a prosecutor would have nothing to work with today. What do you expect a miracle. Even if you did know who did it and told police, without evidence no charges could be brought against them.

Maybe you can convince Perdue to go to the crime scene and find new evidence after 26 years. If he is hesitant, sell him some swampland real cheap somewhere in the county and tell him we will buy it back to build a road and make him a huge profit.

This case does not sound like it has a chance of being solved. Even all the people blogging seem to agree the way all the evidence was handled none of it would be able to be used at trial. And you people are still shocked why no one wants to reopen a 26 year old murder case with no usable evidence and an uncooperative family? And again where is the reward money? If someone really wanted this solved there would at least be one. But that would make to much sense. Blame it on the sheriff, blame it on the local police, blame it on the GBI. Now Perdue is being set up to be blamed. Believe me he is to busy making his fortune on real estate to to get involved with this. And he does thank all the suckers that voted for him to make it all possible. I will tell you what surprises me the most, that no one has blamed O'Bama for this yet. Or is he the next target after Perdue?

obama is not smart enough to be in on a cover-up. The whole world knew all about his sorry --- and we elected him anyway. The United States hated President Bush more than we loved Christianity, Freedom and the United States of America. So we elected a terrorist, muslim, free-loading, Kenyan, America and God hating Freak...for a change.

Let's assume you are right. You very well might be. So just answer me, no one else will........Why does Milam refuse to let The Grand Jury confirm his "lack of evidence" theory?

Well, then the citizens should at least have the facts of what transpired.

#10 REWARD 500,000 on 09/23/10 at 11:07 PM
What facts? That her so called "supporters" were either to sorry or maybe to scared to offer a reward. This story does not even make sense. The mirrors have been in place. Now all you have is a bunch of people blowing smoke!

I thought you were a Muslim? I have been reading your blogs and know you can not be a Christian. So what else can it be. Jew maybe?

Maybe he can help find Jimmy Hoffa while he's at it.
#13 NOT Shelia Tolley on 09/24/10 at 08:04 AM
Ask them where the old reward money is.
#14 Sheila Tolley on 09/24/10 at 09:11 AM
Does this mean the book deal is off?

Do you do Christian sorting for God on a full time basis or just eight hour shifts? I bet it took quite a few interviews to prove yourself equal to God and judge for him. Congratulations.

I seen a sign for a missing dog the other day for $500. I was wondering how much is the reward in this situation.
#17 LifesToShort on 09/24/10 at 10:29 PM
Them did not seem to be much help from the beginning. So why would I waste any time asking Them anything?
#18 Inhumane on 09/25/10 at 12:17 PM
Must have been in Griffin. Folks in these parts have about as much respect for animals as they do for this poor lady. Actually it would be $500 less.

I wonder why your "reward" posts are so frequent. Know something but won't step forward without getting paid, maybe?
#20 benny on 09/29/10 at 12:53 PM
Her kin folk was said to have used it to bore a new well.
#21 Well? on 09/30/10 at 08:00 PM
I keep posting because I never got an answer. What happened to the old reward? Why doesnt anyone care enough to raise one? Why hasnt a private investigator been brought in? Answers, no one has a clue, she isnt worth it, and no one wants to solve this crime that bad. Thats all I got.
#22 Concord Resident on 10/05/10 at 02:49 PM
Why beat that horse over and over here on the blogs? Nobody here knows the answer to your question, obviously. Call the Sheriff and ask what bank was handling the funds. Then call the bank and ask where those funds are so you can make a deposit so you can SUPPORT Donna. Then come back here and tell us where the money is.
#23 GoneFishin on 10/05/10 at 03:35 PM
Sorry man I thought these life long Pike residents would at least be able to answer a question this simple. With all her "supporters" on here anyway. I have been told her family bought a fishing boat with it. So I just went with that. With the present motivation people show with this case it almost makes sense.
