We have a pastor of a fifty-member church in FL who wants to burn some q'uarans. Why, on God's green earth does that constitute a national security risk for the US? Because we have a bunch of Muslims who warn us that if we don't ALL do what they want us to do (stop the little unacceptable protest in Florida, allow the mosque at Ground Zero, etc., etc., etc.) there will be 'ramifications'.

The US is in a state of abject FEAR of retribution over anything deemed offensive by members of that peace-loving religion of Islam. THAT and our risk of self-implosion are our only real, current threats to national security.

Christians never profess to be infallable, "Anonymous". Each has his own personal struggles and temptations that he struggles with. Sometimes, in a moment of weakness, Christians succomb to those temptations. Because we are suceptable and because not everyone who professes to be a Christian really is, we are admonished to look ultimately to God for our leadership and not to place our faith in others.
You've referred to a portion of the historical account of the cruicifiction a couple of times now, which you use to support your conclusion that Jesus ran away to the woods and hid, but you fail to look at the story- or even the very chapter to which you refer- as a whole.
Just prior to where Jesus is taken by the Roman soldiers, He has dinner with his deciples, where he predicts Judas' betrayal, His crucifiction, His death and resurrection. If he knew it was going to happen and he planned on running away, why'd he stick around? Why not hit the road running and keep going? Nope. He stuck around to pray with them, to teach 'em one last lesson, before going to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray alone. The Bible says Judas knew this place, because Jesus had often met there with them before. If you're going to hide, you don't do it where your enemies will surely find you. He didn't run away... There are other things in your post I could address, but I'll stop there for now.
