Top honors announced for Pike County H.S.

Thanks to hard work, diligence, discipline, and exceptional grade point averages, Olivia Swint and Catherine Lovin are at the top of the class. Swint was named the Class of 2009 valedictorian and Lovin was named salutatorian.

CONGRATS- Olivia

You are a very special young lady that deserves this prestigious honor. I know how hard you worked and it has paid off. I find it truly amazing the effort and time you not only put into your academics but also on the field as the PCHS Drum Major. I wish you all the luck at UGA while marching with the Red Coat Band-

AWESOME job, Olivia! I am SO proud of you and consider it an honor to say that I know you. You are a true roll model and inspiration. We will miss you next year. Best wishes at UGA. I can't wait to see you marching with the Red Coats. We love you!

Everyone take notice - Pike County's Class of 2009 Valedictorian, Olivia Swint, is a member of the Pirate Marching Band-proof of the statistics that students involved in the music program excel and succeed. Encourage your student to get involved. Support the band. Great things come from it!
