Afghan medical mission ends in death for 10

They hiked for more than 10 hours over rugged mountains — unarmed and without security — to bring medical care to isolated Afghan villagers until their humanitarian mission took a tragic turn.

Ten members of the Christian medical team — six Americans, two Afghans, one German and a Briton — were gunned down in a gruesome slaughter that the Taliban said they carried out, alleging the volunteers were spying and trying to convert Muslims to Christianity. The gunmen spared an Afghan driver, who recited verses from the Islamic holy book Quran as he begged for his life.

Once again, followers of the peace-loving religion of Islam have made the headlines, killing people who were there to help them and their people.

Some points to ponder: When was the last time you heard of an attack that DIDN'T involve a Muslim? Of all the wars and conflicts going on right now, how many don't involve Muslims on one side or the other? When is the last time you heard of any selfless, benevolent act of altruism carried out by a Muslim or encouraged by Islam?

These people are the enemy. They are the antithesis of anything that is goodness or kindness. Islam has a long history of building Mosques at sites of Muslim "conquests". To allow them to build a Mosque at the former world trade center would be conceeding our defeat.

We need to stop with the political correctness, see this 'religion' for what it is, and deal with it as such. To not do so would put our future and our children's world in serious jeopardy.

The US allowing the muslims to have this 'mosque' is just one step closer to Obama buddy buddy with them so they can come in and take us out, after they have gotten rid of our guns so we can't defend ourselves. Obama knows what he's doing.

I thought the same about Christians..crusades, inquisitions, abortion clinic bombings, kkk lynchings. Wonder how it looks on us when civilians die in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hand of American forces? Where are those weapons of mass destruction. If I lived in Iraq, I would be pissed right now just as I was during 9/11 when civilians died in our country. Wonder if more terrorists are being recruited because of the Iraq War.
Maybe we should just stay out of the middle east.

I hope you're male and muslim- a devout one at that- because if you're anything else, you won't make it very long.

And by the way- if you want to bash Christians, find something else other than the Crusades and Inquisition. If you've gotta' go back 800 years to find something to gripe about, it makes your argument more than a little weak.

Finally, just so we can all know- what branch of Christianity is the KKK, anyway?

Saddam Hussein was a WMD. So is Bin Laden and his team. Surely you understand that some innocents will die with wars surrounding them. That does not mean we should leave the sandy lands and let them come here. Screw these peek-a-boo people at the top of this page. They can buy an acre and call it Ground Zero if they have valid green cards. obamma will be moving in with them in 2012 until he goes to the EVEN BIGGER HOUSE for lying under oath.

1 - Weapons of mass destruction: Yellow cake (nuclear fuel) and centrifuges (way you make weapons grade uranium) were found. Also, bomb casings, chemicals for sarin gas and directions on how to make a sarin gas bombs were found. Not widely reported because it went against what the liberal media wanted you to think.

2 - Abortion clinic bombings were not sanctioned by the church and were condemned by mainstream Christians repeatedly. Muslims made jokes about blowing up planes after 9/11.

3 - The KKK was not a religious organization. I understand why you put that in here. Your president has been very good at blaming the bad old racists for everything and by putting this here, you imply that if we disagree we just HAVE to be racists.

4 - Don't ever imply that soldiers are intentionally killing innocent women and children. your ilk did this during the vietnam war and it wasn't true then either. Does collateral damage happen? Yes. But it is not intentional and caused by cowards (note I don't call them terrorists) hiding behind women's skirts. The same women that they treat like sub-humans. Our soldiers have been maimed and killed doing everything they possibly can to avoid hurting innocent people and for you to say they are killing innocents intentionally is shameful.

5 - The crusades were a VERY LONG TIME AGO... The conflict between the two groups started a long time before that.

I want to preface this by saying "Building a mosque at ground zero makes me sick" but...

If a group rightfully owns the land, and it does not violate zoning laws... Our government and the citizens do not have the authority to keep a mosque from being built there.

We are not a democracy. Mob rule is not the law of the land. As much as I hate it, the rule of law must prevail in all instances.

Who forced you into debt so that we can notify the authorities? Did some nasty banker make you get a mortgage on your house? Wait, i bet Best buy would not let you leave their store until you got a store credit card. Heaven knows that you do not have the power to just not borrow money.

seriously, I tried the whole "being in debt" thing when I first got married and it caused nothing but trouble. Someone let me in on a secret.... I dont have to have a new car or own a house. I can rent and own a clunker while i save money. When you save up a 20 percent down payment, you can get a 15 year loan on a house that you can actually pay off in 10 years. I dont have to buy the maximum amount of house the bank will loan me money for. You can actually live within your means.

Funny things happen when you get serious about that..... you can be 40 and debt free after digging whole when you are younger. You can save money and pay cash for cars. You can experience real freedom.

Perhaps you should go listen to Dave Ramsey some. You will learn that being "normal" sucks.
