Tuesday's ruling by a federal judge in New Orleans against President Obama's six-month moratorium on deep-water oil-drilling in the Gulf of Mexico was a victory for common sense and, if upheld, would preclude the disastrous economic fallout for our neighbors in the Gulf region that the moratorium would bring.

You are so right especially since the judge who made the decision has stock in the oil company. It may have been the right decision but he should have recused himself and then his decision would not be under a microscope.

Common sense would dictate that we eventually stop drilling all together and find alterative sources of energy.

Common sense would dictate we find alternatives and THEN stop drilling. Buy then again, common sense is not so common.

We've already found alternate sources of energy. We just won't start using them until something/someone pushes us to.

There are already alternatives..but do you think big oil would let anything cut their profits..drill baby drill remember.
