One idea, the Fair Tax, is a grass-roots idea that has been building steam for years. The other, a value-added tax, is a European import being talked up by liberal elites as the answer to all our government's problems.

Which idea do you think will get traction in the national media?

Value added tax makes sense. We need to do something after 8 years of Bush carefree spending days. Our beloved President Obama needs to once again stand up for America and take action to reduce the deficit. We got health care reform, now we must take on the deficit. BTW did you see the latest job numbers getting better. Nov. is a long way off tea baggers. Where is Rawlins? What excuse will he have now for not running for BOC.

The third option is the flat tax - tax everyone the same amount, be it 10%, 15%, or 2o%. Noone escapes the taxman then. No more giant size, incomprehensible tax forms, and no more IRS. Actually this was proposed during election campaigning several republican administrations ago.... until the fatcats saw that they would pay the same tax rate as the minimum wager worker.

I think obama should personally pay for all the fuel he has used while flying since he became president. I am so glad you all elected one sorrier than Jimmy (I gave away The Panama Canal)(pass the peanut butter) Carter. Those two make me shiver with disgust.

Fair Tax means everyone who buys anything is paying the tax. That means EVERYONE. Including people who shouldn't be here in the first place, are getting free medical care and other benefits, and don't pay a dime in taxes now.

No IRS.

So far from everythin you've posted you won't be happy until statue of Alfred E Nueman is elected president ... and appoints you as his spokesman... errrr. woman (?) Well, You've gone and done it. Even where there's no controversy you try to stir it up. I'm thinkin you wouldn't be happy unless a statue of Alfred E. Nueman is elected president and you're appointed his chief spokesman.... (woman?) Do you ever put any thought in your comments or does all this drivel just come naturally?
