We should not be lulled into complacency by the ineptitude of the past several "terrorists". Even though there have been no significant tragedies since 9-11 (on U.S. soil) we must still be vigilant, but not to the point where every bag of trash left on a street corner shuts down a major metropolitan area. An SUV smoking while parked on the street yes, but overreacting to a crumpled McDonald's bag left on a doorstep is a bit much. Overkill is just as bad as apathy.
