WOW! What an amazing emotional experience! As a mother to one of these amazingly talented girls - I know first hand how hard these girls worked to take home this well deserved title! This team executed a FLAWLESS performance representing the PIKE COUNTY PIRATES with honor and pride. I am SO proud of this team! A special "THANK YOU" to our coaches, Heather Coates and Kim Hubbard, for the Dream, the Drive, the Dedication and Delivery of a NATIONAL CHAMPION RECREATIONAL CHEER LEADING TITLE!

I am the father of one of the cheerleaders (michaela lowe)i want to say to anyone who does not believe that cheerleading is a sport, come out and watch some NATIONAL CHAMPIONS at work. These girls worked their tails off three and four days a week for the last 9 months and look what it got them. So don't ever believe that this is not a sport. Also to all the girls on the team all of us parents are very proud of you and hope you enjoy this great accomplishment. Be very proud. to Heather and Kim thanks for all of your hard work and dedication this year. Without you none of this would have been possible. From a very proud parent Michael Lowe.
Congratulations to the girls and coaches! Your hard work has paid off!! My daughter was a cheerleader in rec and high school and I saw how hard they worked for these competitions. I wish I could have been there to see this national performance!! If it will be televised, please post the information! Way to go PC!!!
From the very beginning of this season, a year ago, (a 3 day camp to learn the winning routine), that ended with everyone thinking, "oh man, what did we get ourselves into", to the endless weeks of perfecting the winning routine, which included changes until the very end, to this past Saturday, that ended with a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and best of all a GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP (highest score in the division), 16 girls, 2 coaches, and 15 sets of parents, and numerous sponsors, have whole-heartedly dedicated their lives to this cause! As a VERY PROUD PARENT (Michaela Lowe)I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone involved!!! To Heather and Kim - From the bottom of my heart, you will be missed next season and I Thank you for everything that you two put into this! (PCCA hopes to continue the path you have created for Recreational Cheerleading in Pike County)Pike County represented!!!!!! WHO ARE WE?.......PC

I am the proud coach of this amazing team!!!!! This has been a year to remember--a record year!!! It all started with my love for cheerleading and I wanted to take the girls to the next level -show them how fun all this could be for them. We started with a few little competitions in mind by the time we had two 1st places and one sec and a bid to Nationals -it was on!! We have worked endless hours --I have counted and recounted till I thought I would cry changing the routine-I did cry who am I kidding-I knew they were good but on SAT they blew even me away--the best they had ever done!! I am so emotional to be the coach and also a parent of one of the girls(Peyton)--to experience such a high level award with them--unreal. Thank you parents and girls for an amazing year--I have to brag we are grand national champs we beat teams for all over southeast even teams that were older and coed division--our little girls from Pike co showed them a thing or two--LOL!! This has been a dream come true of mine -- I LOVE YOU GIRLS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART--YOU ARE NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!! I cant stop saying it --it sounds so good. Kim I love you without you by my side I wouldnt have dont this or been able to do it --thank you everything!!! PC CHEERLEADERS ARE AWESOME --YOU GIRLS MADE PC HISTORY!!!

What an awesome day May 1st was! Pike Co. Rec. Cheerleaders made history-National Champs!! These girls have worked so hard for this win. I cannot tell you how many long hours they have put into learning their routine. Each of these girls have taught me what it means to be a cheerleader. They have had alot of bumps and bruises along the way. They are a strong group of girls. I have enjoyed helping Ms. Heather coach. I love you girls so much. I am so proud of each one of you!! You are NATIONAL CHAMPS!! Thank you Heather, you are the best and I love you so much! You were the rock for this team! Thank you so much parents!! I thank you for all your support and dedication! PIKE COUNTY CHEERLEADERS GOT IT GOING ON!!
